Breaking new ground: Simone Thomas Wellness becomes first supplement company to use 2D-QR codes

We are excited to announce that we are the first supplement company in the world to adopt the new 2D-QR technology. This is a major step forward for our company as we continue to innovate and provide our customers with the best possible experience.

Buyerdock, an official partner of both GS1UK and GS1 Australia, have provided us with the 2D-QR code technology that will be used on all of our products moving forward. The 2D-QR code is set to replace the traditional 1D barcode between 2025 and 2027. By adopting this technology early, we are ahead of the curve and leading the way in the supplement industry.

But what exactly are the benefits of 2D-QR codes?

For starters, the 2D-QR code provides all the necessary information about our products in a digital format. With the 1D barcode, the amount of information that can be included is limited. However, our customers can scan the code using their smartphone camera to get instant access to an array of content about our products. This includes multiple videos, testimonials, brand information, and ingredient details. This means that our customers will get a more complete and immersive experience when learning about our products.

One of the best things about the 2D-QR code is that it eliminates the need for customers to download or register for additional information. With just a simple scan, they can get all the information they need about our products in one place. This makes the entire process of buying and using our supplements more convenient than ever before.

This also provides a more environmentally friendly solution compared to traditional product labelling, something we are passionate about at Simone Thomas Wellness. We are always looking out for new, innovative ways to help reduce our impact on the environment. By using the 2D-QR code, we are reducing the amount of paper and other materials needed for labelling, which helps to reduce our carbon footprint.

Discussion at the House of Lords

We are thrilled to have been invited to the Roundtable Discussion on 'the future of consumer packaging' at the House of Lords, hosted by The Earl of Erroll. We had the opportunity to discuss digital labelling and the potential this provides for businesses to respond to the drive towards a circular economy, also known as the digital passport.

We are excited about the possibilities that the 2D-QR code technology brings and are proud to be leading the way in the supplement industry. We hope you will join us on this exciting journey as we continue to innovate and provide our customers with the best possible experience.

If you have any questions about our 2D-QR codes, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are always happy to help.
