My favourite moments from this year, plus some insights into what you can expect from me in 2020
We often find ourselves looking forward to future events or situations, forgetting to value the past and the present. I always find it particularly humbling to look back on the year so I can appreciate the positives before planning for the year ahead. From winning entrepreneur of the year to attending the London Global Gift Gala, it’s been quite a year!
Continue reading to discover more about my yearly highlights, there will also be some exclusive insights into what we’ve got in store for Simone Thomas Wellness in 2020.
Simone Thomas Wellness
After 3 years of hard work we’ve finally re-launched Simone Thomas Wellness with this brand new website and a range of extraordinary supplements!
My experience with hair loss and my subsequent research into nutrition has enabled us to combine the very best ingredients which maintain your hair and skin in peak condition. I can't even describe how rewarding it is to see something you’ve envisioned for years come to life, but it’s not always been straight forward.
It can be difficult juggling business with motherhood and I’m still working on taking time out for myself, without feeling guilty about it! Even if it’s a bubble bath or 15 minutes of yoga, a little self-care is a great way to recharge or prepare for the day ahead.
We’ve still got a long way to go, but thanks to my amazing team, we wouldn’t be where we are today!
There’s a lot planned for Simone Thomas Wellness in 2020, from exciting campaigns to new products so be sure to stay tuned.
Simone Thomas Salons
My salons are where it all started, a safe-haven where I could help individuals suffering from hair loss and scalp conditions.
I’m constantly looking into ways I can further help my clients to ensure they receive the most effective treatments available. That’s why I’m incredibly excited to be able to offer Advanced Health Screening using Bioenergetics to monitor and optimise the energetic state of your internal organs at my Westbourne hair loss salon and in Sandbanks in Poole.
Bioenergetics screening can pick up on your food sensitivities, environmental sensitivities, identify your specific nutritional needs, your hormonal balance, toxins in your body and much more.
If you are familiar with Kinesiology (muscle testing), Bioenergetics works in a similar way, but it is computerised, and much faster. The system effectively asks thousands of “questions” of the body very quickly and allows a practitioner to build up a picture of your body’s responses to a wide variety of items, which give important clues to the healing process.
This is a totally non-invasive way to get information from your body about aspects of health that are balanced or imbalanced. Readings are taken by holding onto the brass plate connected to the machine or two hand masses and tiny changes in the electrical resistance of your skin are monitored as different signals are output from the system.
I couldn’t be more proud of what my team and I have achieved this year, and it was amazing to be recognised for it by winning Salon Spy’s Customer Service award as well as being named the winner of the Successful Women Awards!
Next year, I’m incredibly excited to be bringing the benefits of Simone Thomas Wellness into the Westbourne Salon. This will be in the form of a state of the art ‘Wellness Bar’, as well as a complete revamp of the salon itself!
The Global Gift Gala
This year, I had the absolute pleasure of attending London’s Global Gift Gala. It was so amazing to be a part of the Global Gift Foundation, a charity which brings together the worlds of business, celebrity and philanthropy to raise funds and awareness for women and children in situations of urgent need.
After a slight wardrobe malfunction and admittedly, a few tears, I had my photo taken on the red carpet with the inspiring Alexa Connolley who received the Global Gift Empowerment Award in Marbella. It was wonderful to meet Maria Bravo, the Global Gift Gala’s founder who did a fantastic job of organising the whole night, as well as the stunning Eva Longoria who was the honorary chair for the evening!
After experiencing loss and pain first hand, the event really resonated with me as it highlighted how tragically short life can be. With this in mind, I think it’s important that we appreciate what’s happening around us, prioritising love and kindness above all else. That’s why next year, I want to make a conscious effort to reach out and help others, whether it’s friends and family or complete strangers in need of a helping hand.
For me, this has just been the start of my journey with the Global Gift Gala as I’ll be registering with them so I can contribute to this wonderful cause and future events.
What’s been your proudest moment? What have you learnt about yourself? What are you excited about for next year? How are you going to make 2020 your best year yet?
