Chocolate Chai Smoothie

Adding chai spices to a protein shake is a great way to add a bit of extra flavour to your afternoon snack. 

Warming chai spices are packed with antioxidants and ginger, cardamom and  cinnamon can help with inflammation and colds.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 whole cinnamon stick

  • 7 cardamom pods

  • 4 peppercorns

  • 3 whole cloves

  • ½ tsp ground ginger 

  • 2 Scoops Simone Thomas Pause the Meno Protein Powder

  • 800 ml your favourite milk, we used skinny milk

  • 2 tablets of Simone Thomas Biotin Brilliance

METHOD:

  • Place the cinnamon, cardamom, peppercorns, cloves and ginger on a medium size pan over a medium heat. Roast the spices for around 2 minutes, stirring frequently until golden and fragrant. Transfer into a bowl to cool.

  • Place the cooled spices into the food processor bowl and blend to a fine powder.

  • Add all the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Taste and add some more milk if needed.

  • Divide between two serving glasses and serve.
